Super Simple Keepsake Christmas Ornament

Keepsake Christmas Ornament

This super simple keepsake Christmas ornament idea is sure to be a parent and grandparent favorite!  In fact, it’s one of those ornaments you’ll pull out year after year with nostalgia.

I like to make these with my Pre-K students, and they are so quick and simple to make it’s unbelievable!  Seriously…this will be the easiest Christmas craft or ornament you’ll make all year, but it’ll be one of the most special.

Why It’s So Special

This little ornament is so special because it provides a way to show how little a child once was and to see how much they’ve grown with each new year.

Parents will love untying the ribbon and holding it up to their child to see how much they’ve actually grown.  And kids will be so proud to see that they really are getting bigger!  Now, isn’t that a special keepsake Christmas ornament idea?

How to Make It

Simply print out the ornament/poem on white card stock and laminate for durability.  Then, use twine or ribbon to measure each child’s height.  Tie the ribbon in a bow and add it to to the top of the ornament card.

This isn’t the main Christmas craft we do or even the cutest ornament we make each year, but it’s a memorable one that parents love and appreciate.
