Hey friend! I’m Ashley 👋

I’m the teacher, creator, and play-based learning enthusiast behind Just Reed and Play—a cozy little corner of the internet made just for preschool and kindergarten teachers who want learning to feel joyful, hands-on, and doable.

I’m a wife, mama, and pre-k teacher at heart, with over 20 years of experience teaching everything from kindergarten to fifth grade. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University, a Master’s degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and a Specialist’s Degree in ECE from the University of West Alabama—and I still believe we never stop learning right alongside our students.
