Spring is finally here! The days are getting warmer, the flowers are blooming, and the birds are singing. It’s the perfect time to enjoy some of our favorite spring books with the little ones in your life. Here are 24 spring books preschool children will love–and so will you!

What to Look for in a Spring Book

When choosing a book to introduce your little learners to spring, there are a few things you should look for. Beautiful illustrations will help the story come to life and keep the child’s attention. 

Whimsical text is another must.  Rhyming words, lyrical language, and repeated phrases are always fun for children to engage with at story time. Meaningful plots and memorable characters are a must in in your spring books for preschool. 

I love finding spring themed books that truly teach about the season as well.  Books that talk about the change from winter to spring or that emphasize spring concepts like gardening, flying kites, windy weather, rain, and insects are always a great pick!

Finally, be sure the books you choose for your preschool spring theme that have great storylines to draw in readers and make them eager to know what happens at the end.
