Leprechaun Traps Ideas to Use for St. Patrick’s Day

The Best Leprechaun Trap Ideas

My kiddos have a blast anytime we do a Leprechaun Trap project.  They love to bring in traps and explain how they work. I usually assign this as a family project, and I’m always amazed at the creativity the kids and their parents demonstrate.
One year a little boy said, “My Grandpa did the whole thing while I was at school.  He wouldn’t quit working on it!!”  I thought that was precious that his granddad enjoyed it.  Here are some of my favorite Leprechaun Trap ideas brought in through the years.

This fun family project will be the highlight of your St. Patrick's Day celebration! Integrate writing into the project, and students learn while they play!

This is always such a fun project, and I think the parents have as much fun planning and designing as the children do!  If you want to try this project in your classroom for St. Patrick’s Day, you can check it out below.  It includes literally everything you need to successfully implement this project:  parent letter, writing prompts, planning pages, an original poem, STEM ideas, a Wanted Poster, and a Leprechaun Name Generator!
You’ll love using this year after year to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in your classroom.
