In my pre-k classroom, learning letters and letter sounds is definitely important.  But, it has to be both fun and hands on.  One of the ways I love to engage my students in practicing letters and letter sounds is with alphabet Youtube videos. Jack Hartmann videos are my class’s absolute favorite! These videos appeal to all the learning modalities.  Children can see, hear, talk/sing, and move while watching these videos.  I’ve put together the ultimate list of the best Youtube  videos for teaching the alphabet.

When I search for an alphabet video for my students I’m looking for something that is engaging, fun, and educational.  The following videos are some of the best Youtube videos for teaching the alphabet.  These videos will help your students learn both letter names and letter sounds.  I like to do a couple of these videos with students during our morning meeting to get them ready for an exciting day of learning.  These also make great brain breaks at times when your students need to wiggle a bit.  However you use them, your students will definitely learn the alphabet with these Youtube videos!
